Authentically funny comedy podcasts are a rarity. Authentically funny comedy
podcasts that are scripted are even more unique. Daves of Thunder was both: a
show about two Daves— Dave Dameshek and David Feeney— that revolved around
their lives and their supposed friendship. Sometimes the show was candid and
sometimes the show was scripted, and the magic came from that nebulous divide
as the listener was often left wondering what was real and what was fake.

David Feeney talked about his sexual prowess. Dave Dameshek talked about his
three consecutive Connect Four championships. Producer 'Jacuzzi Pete' divulged
his radical and often concerning thoughts about 9/1 1, the assassination of
President Kennedy, and Paul O'Neill. The show was about everyday life, about the
mundane and the extraordinary. It was a masterpiece. Daves of Thunder is a once-
in-a-lifetime podcast that all fans of good comedy will enjoy.

I'd never heard of this before and I love it. Thanks for putting this out.
Where can I find the original shows?

This Year September 1 9, 201 1 at 2:45 AM

There's no official archive at this time (we're working on getting permission
to open an official archive) but there are some unofficial sites that you can
find if you Google what you're looking for.

Scoots September 22, 201 1 at 12:09 AM

Our two Daves were not long for this world. Thank you for compiling this.

Anonymous September 24, 2011 at 11 :34 AM
Thanks for putting this together. This is fantastic.

One question - did the Feeney serenade of Mo Dameshek not make your
best of? I'll put you on that Shame Report.

This Year September 24, 201 1 at 2:53 PM

@Anonymous - The Feeney/Mo Dameshek bit is certainly included; we just
didn't include it in the timestamps above. :)

if I may be a bit audacious, might I suggest Dave and Joel's Fast Karate for
the Gentleman as a contestant for you fine program. They're really funny,
they talk about games and stuff.

Yeah, this was a great podcast while it lasted. Some of the bits were
gutbustingly funny.

This was such a great show. Thanks!

Trevor October 27, 201 2 at 6:44 PM

9 Was Jacuzzi Pete really Donny? Their voices were similar. I could never tell
for sure.

Anonymous October 29, 2012 at 6:23 PM

Their voices were kind of similar but no Jacuzzi Pete is his own person. His
real name is Peter Folk or something like that.
